What time is Check In?
Check in is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. but if you would like an alternative check in time please call us and we will do our best to accommodate.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
We have free Wi-Fi and the codes are available in each of the guest bedrooms.
What are the Activities in and around Keswick?
Keswick is situated to the north of the Lake District National Park between Skiddaw mountain and Derwentwater and boasts a good range of pubs, cafés, restaurants, galleries, shops and interesting attractions, such as the Puzzling Place, the Derwent Pencil Museum, Keswick Brewery, pitch and putt at Hope Park. On the Lake there are rowboats for hire and the Keswick Launch provides a water bus service around the lake. Why not take the launch across the lake and then walk up Catbells and see if you can find Mrs Tiggy Winkle.
Using Keswick as a base, there are a great range of outdoor activities available such as fellwalking, rock climbing, ghyll scrambling, mountain biking or paragliding, and water sports such as wild swimming, windsurfing or sailing.
What time is Breakfast served?
Breakfast is served between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. However, if you are competing in a sportive or run or starting an early walk and require an earlier breakfast please ask.
What do you serve for Breakfast?
Start your day with a hearty breakfast in our dining room looking out towards Skiddaw and Latrigg with a choice of cereals, fresh fruit salads and yogurts, followed by a choice of hot breakfasts. This includes a full English, full vegetarian, smoked salmon or a lighter breakfast.
All our breakfast ingredients are sourced locally with Cumbrian Sausage and local dry-cured bacon. Our free-range eggs are delivered from Scales Farm at Embleton.
We also cater for special diets, but please let us know at the time of booking.
A choice of tea, coffee, fruit juices, and herbal teas are available.
Is Parking Available?
Free, unrestricted parking is available on Blencathra Street and surrounding roads.
Do you accept dogs?
We have one room in which we allow well behaved dogs.
Are Children Welcome at Eden Green?
Yes, children over the age of 8 are very welcome at Eden Green. We have two family rooms which can accommodate parents and one child and another which can accommodate parents and 1 or 2 children.
Is the Property Easily Accessed?
Access to Eden Green Guesthouse is via 8 steps with a handrail on the left-hand side leading to the front door. The Breakfast room is located on the ground floor and we have one double deluxe bedroom on the ground floor. Please see our Access Policy for full details.
Can we bring our Bikes?
We welcome cyclists at Eden Green Guesthouse and have secure overnight bike storage. We also have a selection of tools for minor repairs plus a jet washing facility for those muddy days on the Fells.
Do you have a Drying Room?
Yes, we have a drying room to dry off wet gear and boots/shoes and if required we have boot cleaning facilities.
Can you provide Packed Lunches?
We can indeed. Our packed lunches consist of:
2 rolls filled (choice of fillings)
Please let us know the evening before if you would like a packed lunch.
Are you able give us any suggestions on where to visit or walk?
We have a number of leaflets of surrounding places of interest, for example, Hill Top Farm, The Theatre by the Lake Programme, Mountain Goat weekly tour dates and Alhambra Cinema listings.
We also have an extensive range of maps which we are happy for you to borrow and a large number of walks, starting out at Keswick or further afield; and it may be that we have done the walks before and can advise best routes.
